Terms of Use
Scope
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Dentiluna app, provided by Doris Kayser, BSc (see Imprint). By creating an account or using the app, you accept these Terms of Use.
Description of service
Dentiluna is an app that helps parents and legal guardians track their child's dental development, from baby teeth to permanent teeth, in an age-appropriate way and to make brushing playful. Core features are currently available free of charge. We reserve the right to further develop the scope of features.
No medical advice
The information about dental development shown in the app is for general informational purposes only and does not replace dental or medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have health concerns or notice anything unusual, always consult a dentist or another qualified professional.
Registration & account
When you first open the app, it automatically creates an anonymous account. To use your data on several devices or to restore your account, you can sign in with email, Google, or Apple. You must provide truthful information and keep your login credentials confidential. An account may only be created by a person with legal capacity (generally an adult).
Use by legal guardians
Child profiles are created and maintained exclusively by you as a parent or legal guardian. By creating one, you confirm that you are the legal guardian of the child and may give consent on the child's behalf to the processing of their data (see the Privacy Policy). Children do not create their own account and do not sign in to the app themselves. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter about your child.
Inviting other people
You can invite other people to a child profile. You are responsible for inviting only people you may and want to entrust with your child's data. Share the invitation link only with those people. You can withdraw access at any time. Invited people use the data only within the app and only to support the child's dental care. They must not pass it on to third parties.
Paid features & right of withdrawal
The basic features of Dentiluna are free. Additional features (Dentiluna Pro) are a one-time purchase handled through the App Store or Google Play and additionally subject to their terms. Dentiluna Pro unlocks, among other things, inviting other people. For digital content, your 14-day right of withdrawal under Austrian consumer law (§ 18 FAGG) lapses once delivery has begun with your explicit consent and acknowledgment of the loss of that right.
Intellectual property
All content in the app, including design, text, graphics, and logos, is protected by copyright and owned by Doris Kayser, BSc, unless otherwise indicated. You receive a simple, non-transferable right to use the app privately for its intended purpose.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app — in particular, not to distribute malware, circumvent security mechanisms, scrape content in an automated way, or use the app in a way that impairs other users or the app's operation.
Availability
We aim to keep the app reliably available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, for example due to maintenance work or disruptions at third-party providers such as Google Firebase.
Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, as well as for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health. For slight negligence, we are liable only within the limits permitted by law, to the extent a limitation of liability is legally permissible. We assume no liability for the content of external websites we link to; the operators of those linked sites are solely responsible for their content.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time directly in the app on the Profile screen via “Delete account”. You can also delete your child's profile there at any time. Alternatively, you can request deletion by emailing hello@dentiluna.com. We may restrict access to the app or suspend your account in the event of serious violations of these Terms of Use.
Changes to these Terms of Use
We may update these Terms of Use, for example when new features are added or the legal situation changes. We will inform you of material changes in the app or by email. Last updated: October 2026.
Governing law & jurisdiction
Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, mandatory provisions of the law of your habitual residence and the statutory jurisdiction under § 14 of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act (KSchG) remain unaffected.
Severability
Should any provision of these Terms of Use be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
